ICONSIAM x WISHULADA - Christmas Tree in ICONSIAM WORLD OF GIFTS 2023
ICONSIAM x WISHULADA got the donated unused toys to create the Christmas Tree in ICONSIAM WORLD OF GIFTS 2023 from the concept of Regenerative Design, to revive all left-over materials to be a Christmas Tree. The materials are representatives from 9 industries such as food processing industries (soft-drink cans, aluminum pull ring), clothing and textile industries (hangers), automotive and auto parts industries (light and small car parts), gem and jewelry industries (beads, necklace, accessories), computer and electronic device industries (charging cables, key boards), chemical and plastic industries (toys, plastic bottles), electrical appliances industries (electrical appliance’ wires and plugs), furniture industries (scraps of colorful leather), rubber industries and rubber production (colorful hair bands) sending all of you a happiness and celebrating the 5 th Anniversary of ICONSIAM. This Christmas Tree is a representative and voice for creating an awareness for everyone to concern the value of things around. Concept of Regenerative Design consists of:
- Resilience – the adaptation and flexibility of design concept by focusing on the recycle of left-over resources and reduction of new resources usage.
- Rebalance – the connection between environment and human through the community job creations in Thailand to make Thai people proud of themselves to have potential and skillful handicraft.
- Regenerative – using Circular Design Concept considerate for the steps of the creative process, from the upstream midstream and downstream, which shall not have negative effect to environment by forward all toys to kids in Association children and youth For Peace in the Deep South (Luukrieang) on National Children's Day 2024
The amount of carbon footprint that can be reduced through the process of upcycling is 6,240 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent.
